Happy 5.5 Birthday to our Graduate!

Joshua is obsessed with baseball. All he wants to do is swing a bat or throw a ball. If he can’t do that, he even likes to watch it on television. He loves helmets and hats and gloves. Sometimes it gets him into trouble, sometimes it leads to humor….

At Elijah’s soccer game today Joshua and I were playing our own game on an adjacent field. An older girl, probably about 10, kicked a ball fairly hard that hit Joshua and knocked him down. Joshua sulked for a couple of seconds and the girl ran up and said "I’m sorry. Are you OK?"

After a couple of more seconds, the girl ran off and Joshua said:

"I don’t like "ok" and "sorry". I don’t like those words. Those are baby words. I like cool stuff, not baby stuff. Everyone but me is a baby. That girl is a baby. Everyone is a big baby but not me …. or that boy over there. He’s not a baby, but just me and him."

Joshua loves sports. Triathlons and Track Meets are no different. Joshua competed in the Hill Country Kids’ Triathlon on July 21. You can see pictures of him here. Later that same day, he ran in a
track meet. He ran the 400m, 200m, Sprint Medley Relay (leg 1 – 200m), and he did the long jump. Elijah ran the 100m in the track meet, as well. Click here to see more track meet photos.
