The Birth of Jesus
Written by Lindsay and Elijah
Edited by Jessica
One day Mary woke up when she saw a light shining through her window. Angels came in and said, “You will have a baby. His name will be Jesus.” Mary was so happy and so surprised to be blessed among all women…..
It was at that time, that Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem for the census. That evening, Jesus was born. When Joseph saw the baby, he said, “He is so cute.” (Mary says, “Yes, he is.”)
That night, they had unexpected guests. The three wise men came. Joseph met them at the door and led them to Mary. The three wise men told Mary and Joseph they had seen the star in the East and this brightest star guided them to “the most gifted baby ever.” Each man brought a gift – gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (boys give Mary the gifts and Mary says, “Thank you for the gifts. See our wonderful baby? He will grow up to be a strong, nice man.”)
It was very nice having the three wise men visit. They all knew the baby was special. He would grow up to teach the world about God and everlasting life. And that is the story of the very first Christmas (all cast come out to bow and say “Merry Christmas!”)
Cast Lines in order of appearance:
