Happy 5.5 Birthday to our Graduate!
Today is Joshua’s half-birthday. Here is a photo of him walking into his graduation. He graduated from Pre-Kindergarten on May 17.
Joshua pitched the last inning of the boys’ last baseball game (7/10/08). He got 2 strike-outs and a several walks. Here he is getting strike 2 off the other team’s best hitter. The next throw would be strike 3 (looking), out 3, game over!

Joshua is obsessed with baseball. All he wants to do is swing a bat or throw a ball. If he can’t do that, he even likes to watch it on television. He loves helmets and hats and gloves. Sometimes it gets him into trouble, sometimes it leads to humor….
Happy Birthday to our sporty boy.
At Elijah’s soccer game today Joshua and I were playing our own game on an adjacent field. An older girl, probably about 10, kicked a ball fairly hard that hit Joshua and knocked him down. Joshua sulked for a couple of seconds and the girl ran up and said "I’m sorry. Are you OK?"
After a couple of more seconds, the girl ran off and Joshua said:
"I don’t like "ok" and "sorry". I don’t like those words. Those are baby words. I like cool stuff, not baby stuff. Everyone but me is a baby. That girl is a baby. Everyone is a big baby but not me …. or that boy over there. He’s not a baby, but just me and him."
Why don’t you let us have phones? Why don’t you let us eat candy every day? We have the rightes to drive. We do not have to go to school. We can have jobs. We can drink coke. We do not have to lisin to our parints. We do not obey grownups. We can play…
